About me
I was born in Colombia and started playing guitar and piano when I was 13 years old. I studied the undergraduate degree in Musical Studies with an emphasis on sound engineering at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and also the undergraduate degree in Audiovisual Media with an emphasis on film at the Politécnico Grancolombiano. I went to France to learn the language and do a cultural immersion, so I could start writing and recording a documentary about immigration. Then I moved to Barcelona and completed a Master in Film Editing at ESCAC (Escola Superior de Cinema i Audiovisuals de Catalunya). I am currently finishing a Master's Degree in Sound for Film at ENSAV in Toulouse, France.
For more than 7 years I have worked on various film, television and advertising projects, developing a deep understanding of how sound and video editing can transform an audiovisual production, being involved in all stages of production, playing roles as director, production sound , data wrangler, video editing assistant, video editor, sound designer, sound effects editor, dialogue editor, 5.1 mixing engineer, studio recording and mixing engineer among others .
I have worked as an audio editor on feature films such as “El Piedra”, and on television series such as “Fuerza Latina” for DW Latino , “Relatos Retorcidos” and “La Junta” for Canal Capital. I have also worked with international brands such as GQ TÜRKİYE as a video editor, and Najo Jewerly as an audio editor. I have done production sound, audio editing and sound design for multiple short films both in Colombia and Spain, particularly with the production company Escac Films. I have worked in advertising as an editor of sound pieces, as well as an editor of multiple podcasts, and finally I have been a video editor for different brands generating content for their social networks, such as MediaTracks and Ultravioleta.co .
I also have more than 3 years of experience as a teacher in the sound area, at the Politécnico Grancolombiano in Colombia, in charge of classes for the Audiovisual Media and Social Communication majors.
In my free time, I am passionate about sports, traveling and seeing new places, discovering new people and, above all, new food.
